Reminder: We can all be STARs
We all deserve to be treated like stars and allowed to shine. Made to feel special and unique because the truth is we are. This also means we also need to treat ourselves this way too.
A helpful reminder to getting to where you want to go and become that STAR:
Start small, this may sound counter-intuitive when we’re told to dream big and think outside the box. When we’re thinking of goals we should think big and outside our current limits. When it comes to looking at what needs to be done first, we need to start small.
If we look too far ahead we’ll get overwhelmed with how much we have to do. Truth is, we need to evolve into the next step by completing the one before it. By doing this we then can grow that confidence that we have the skills, knowledge and ability to do the next step.
Train your brain, this is where I personally have found books to be a game changer for me. Personal development books have blown up in popularity and success. We now have an abundance of knowledge that has been shared to help us train our brains to think in new ways.
It doesn’t have to be just books, it could be subscribing to a podcast or YouTube channel or even a blog. Whatever works for you and even sometimes we need more than one format. We all have busy lives and reading a book can take time that we find hard to slot into our daily routines so having shorter snippets from other avenues can be tremendously helpful.
If you’re part of our membership you will get exclusive access to over 50 book summaries that I have compiled and added specific action steps to take from each.
Action! Big or small it doesn’t matter, so what does? Consistency! Being consistent in showing up with that action step. If you’ve never run before and then sign up for a marathon next week, it’s not going to be pretty. Taking incremental steps every day towards it and it’s certainly a possibility in a few months' time.
no big leaps are required!
Reward, whether a thing or an experience it’s your choice. Don’t forget the good self-talk of praise to re-enforce the amazing work you’ve accomplished.
We all deserve success and there’s enough for everyone to get theirs! No competition or judging.
Mine’s a cheeky Costa, what’s yours?
